That’s the speed I get when transferring over Samba to the SSD I boot the Pi from which is ext4 formatted. With ntfs-3g, it fluctuates between 55 MB/s and the best I could get is around 90 MB/s. So quite a drop in performance. The CPU is almost maxed out - a lot of context switches happen, and it all boils down to, probably, the fact that we are talking about a user space implementation, which simply has these kind of limitations.
