When it came down to it, I chose SYDE because I always wanted to do engineering (because of the robotics) and felt that I could do anything after SYDE, whether it be software, robotics, PM, or something more management-y; it was broader than CS even though there was less room to choose courses. Now, one year later, I am really happy in SYDE and with my decision. It was so easy to make friends, and I love how everyone really got each other’s back.
